About Jerome

Jerome Borris was born in the “60’s” back then kids built model cars and raced H.O. and slot cars. At an early age Jerome’s teachers saw that he had great artistic abilities. Being raised in Cleveland Ohio his parents took him to art classes at the Cleveland Art Museum.

Instead of getting toys for birthdays and Christmas, he would receive art supplies. When he was 14, he had emergency surgery which laid him up for a month. During this time he went out and bought his first airbrush and practiced 8 to 10 hours a day for weeks and got pretty good at it. At 15 his father gave him an old Jeep and said fix it and it’s yours. He loved working on cars and doing art and eventually combined the two skills.

After High School Jerome Attended The Cleveland Institute of Art where he excelled while still restoring old cars in his spare time. After 25 years of honing his skills as a professional automotive re-finisher, his knowledge of materials, paints, and techniques is well rounded.

All of his major priming, paint work, and clearing is done in an Accudraft down draft spray booth and baked at 160 degrees. This allows him to achieve a top quality finish that will last. Jerome runs most of his operation out of Excalibur Auto body one of Northeast Ohio’s Premiere Facilities. This enables him to tackle projects large or small from cars, bikes, pickups, race cars and tow trucks to boats.
